Women’s Cross Country Finishes 12th at NCAA Regionals

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Junior Keely Maguire (Georgetown, Mass.) placed 24th overall to lead the University of New Hampshire women's cross country team to a 12th-place finish at the 36-team NCAA Northeast Regional Saturday afternoon at the University at Buffalo.

The Wildcats finished with 274 points and were the second highest America East Conference finisher, trailing only Stony Brook University, which placed ninth with 195 points. Syracuse University won the meet for the second straight year with 116 points.

Maguire finished the six-kilometer course in a time of 21 minutes, 27 seconds.

Junior Darcy James (Exeter, N.H.) and senior Sydney Fitzpatrick (Billerica, Mass.) placed 34th and 35th, respectively, in times of 21:40 and 21:41.

Sophomore Elise Beattie (Woodstock, Ill.) placed 55th overall in a time of 22:06, while senior Elizabeth Campbell (Colonia, N.J.) finished 126th in a time of 23:23 to round out the Wildcat scorers.
