CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Junior Chelsey Serrano (Manchester, N.H.) and senior Kent Harlow (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) of the University of New Hampshire women's and men's cross country teams were honored Tuesday as the America East Performers of the Week.
Serrano helped lead the Wildcats to victory at the University of Maine Friday, Sept. 20 as she completed the 5K course with an overall time of 17:51.2. In the previous race at UNH against Providence and Holy Cross, Serrano finished 19th with a time of 18:38.
Harlow recorded a third-place finish as the top runner for the Wildcats at Maine in the same meet. The senior finished the course to a time of 25:41. It was his second top-10 finish of 2013 as he placed ninth against Providence and Holy Cross (18:40).
Both teams are back in action Friday, Sept. 27 as they travel to Franklin Park, Mass. for the Boston College Invitational. The women start at 3:30 p.m. while the men will begin at 4:15. For more information on the UNH cross country teams, visit www.UNHWildcats.com.
